Boggy Creek's Dixieland Ace

NSTRA Champion

AKC# SR41317903       Whelped: 04/04/07

Stud Fee: $500

Ace was whelped 04/04/07, and added to our kennel in June of 07. Ace has been an outstanding addition to our kennel as he is our primary stud dog for our German Shorthairs.

Ace is the son of the late 4x Nat. CH, 16x NSTRA CH Crosswind's Truckin' Fritz, and 4x NSTRA CH Dixieland's Black Magic (The first black and white German Shorthair to earn a field trial Champion title). His pedigree goes further back to multiple champion dogs. As you can tell, Ace has an outstanding pedigree. You can view Ace's pedigree by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page.

We have high expectations of Ace, and he has certainly not disappointed. Ace began his field trial career fairly young in Fall of 2008. However, he has been always been very competitive from the beginning. His first placement was in March of 2009, and since then has accumulated 33 total open points towards his NSTRA Championship. Ace only lacks one first place point to become a Champion.

Ace is a very friendly dog with a wonderful demeanor around people and other dogs. He has an obvious desire to please, and handles so easily in the field. Ace has an exceptional nose and is very stylish, and staunch on point. His intensity on his birds is indisputable. When Ace is turned loose to hunt it is certain he is only concerned with one thing, and that is finding birds. He covers ground very well, and very fast working scent and cover with intelligence. His retrieving is absolutely second to none. Ace will go anywhere to retrieve a bird as I have seen him clear fences and hay bales to retrieve a shot bird in field trials. Ace is still a young dog, and we are very excited to continue to watch him progress in his career. He has produced some nice puppies already, and we expect more as he will be a key piece in our breeding program for years to come.
